CHASEN (SHIN KAZUHO) - WHITE BAMBOO -TANIMURA TANGO
Bamboo matcha whisk handmade by Tanimura Tango (20th generation chasen master). We make yearly visits to his house and studio. This white bamboo is also called Hachiku. Each one is handcrafted and therefore will be slightly different.
We strongly recommend to purchase kusenaoshi (chasen holder) to keep the shape of the chasen after cleaning, as while drying the chasen tines will naturally close together and whisking will become more and more difficult.
