SHINCHA TASTING EVENT 2026

Please join us for this special tasting event to celebrate the shincha (first harvest) season and the hard working farmers/producers. The line up will consist of around 5-6 teas. Pairing wagashi will include the most special freshly made Honwarabimochi, made only with 100% honwarabiko. Please look forward to it!

OMIYAGE:

Each guest will receive Hachiju Hachiya Gentei Shincha 100g tin - picked on the 2nd May (the 88th day counting from Risshun, the arrival of Spring).

11:00-14:00 / 15:00-18:00

PRICE:

£95 per guest

SEATING:

TEA BAR SEATS - 6 guests maximum per timeslot.

RESERVATIONS:

Email info@cha-ology.com with number of guests, preferred date and dietary requirements (if there is more than one preferred date/time, please let us know as it will help us with seating arrangements).

REMARKS:

Guests will be seated at tea bar. Bookings for 2 or 4 or 6 guests will be considered first, so if you would like to book for 1 or 3 or 5 guests please email us to register your interest. We will try to combine these into full timeslots of 6 guests.

The usual rules of the teahouse apply to this event, i.e. no perfume, no lipstick, brief photos, no videos. Discussions amongst guests and hosts are allowed.

Payment is taken in advance. Once the seats are confirmed we will be sending the link for payment. If you request to cancel, refunds will only be given if the space(s) are filled. Thank you for understanding!
